Dear CVIS Community,
I would like to take this opportunity to officially introduce myself to the learners and families of Conewago Valley Intermediate School. I am honored to be selected to support the amazing learning and growth that happens for our intermediate learners in grades four through six!
I have been privileged to work with students across K-12 in my twenty-one years in education. I have served as a social studies teacher, school counselor, staff developer, educational consultant and administrator. I have always enjoyed the excitement about learning that I see daily when working with students. I also enjoy nurturing a family atmosphere within a community of educators who are passionate about the success of every learner.
I live in York with my husband Joe (an accountant) and my child Paul (going into 2nd grade in York Suburban SD). We have two crazy beagles and spend time playing tennis, shuttling Paul to sports and playing together at Hersheypark. We also love to decorate for fall and go to fairs and festivals. I have been very familiar with the CVSD community over the past several years, working as a professional development specialist at Lincoln Intermediate Unit. During my time with LIU, I fell in love with the culture and mission of the District. I always wanted to work at CVIS. It is funny how dreams really do come true!
I am daily impressed with the dedication and hard work of so many staff members at CVIS. Teams regularly collaborate and plan around experiences that meet the needs of today’s learners, preparing them to be competent, confident and creative builders of the future! We are honored that you trust us daily with your most prized possessions. We do not take lightly the opportunity to work in partnership with you for three amazing years.
Please be on the lookout for many communications in the form of newsletters, emails, and social media. My door is always open to you. Please reach out if you would like to meet [email protected] I look forward to seeing you at CVIS and in the community!
Here’s to a great 2023-2024 School Year!
