Principal's Message

Dear CVIS Community, 

It is with great excitement and honor that I introduce myself as the new Principal of Conewago Valley Intermediate School. I am thrilled to be joining this vibrant and supportive community, and I am eager to work alongside our dedicated teachers, staff, students, and families to ensure CVIS is the best school in Adams County.  

I earned my Elementary Education degree at Pennsylvania State University and have spent the last 19 years in education.  My first three years in teaching were in the Pittsburgh Area and the last 16 were at Gettysburg Area School District. Most recently, I served six years as Assistant Principal at Gettysburg Area High School.  My experience at all education levels has led me to believe all learners can find success.  I believe it is essential to have a strong commitment to fostering a positive, inclusive, and academically enriching environment in order to give every student the opportunity to succeed. My vision for our school is one where each child feels valued, engaged, and motivated to do their best. Together, we will continue to build on our traditions of excellence and work toward new and exciting goals.

Outside of education, I love spending time with my two children, wonderful wife, and crazy goldendoodle.  I spend as much time outside as I can, running and coaching cross country.  In the winter, I coach my children’s basketball team.  I love to read and am constantly looking for a great new book.  

As we wrap up the 2024-2025 school year, I want to encourage open communication and collaboration between the school and home. Please do not hesitate to reach out to me with any questions, ideas, or concerns. My door is always open, and I look forward to getting to know each of you and working together to support our students.

I know Conewago Valley School District is fantastic and I am thrilled to be joining the Colonials. I look forward to meeting many of you in the coming weeks and to an exciting and successful career at CVSD.
