Principal's Message

Principal picture

Dear CVIS Community,

My name is Mrs. Christina McLaughlin. I am honored to serve as the principal of Conewago Valley Intermediate School. It is a privilege to support the amazing learning and growth that happens for our intermediate learners in grades four through six!

I have worked with students across all grades, K-12, in my twenty-one years in education. I have been a social studies teacher, school counselor, staff developer, educational consultant and building administrator. I have always enjoyed the excitement of learning that I see daily when working with students. I enjoy nurturing a family atmosphere among educators who are passionate about the success of every learner.

I live in York with my husband Joe and my child Paul. We have two crazy beagles and we spend time playing soccer in the backyard and on the field. We like to watch YouTube and movies together. We also love to decorate for Holidays and go to fairs and festivals. One of my favorite hobbies is doing jigsaw puzzles. My favorite season is Fall.

I am proud to be a Colonial! I fell in love with the culture and mission of the District years ago when I worked as a staff developer at the Lincoln Intermediate Unit.  I always wanted to work with the professionals at CVIS. It is funny how dreams really do come true!

I am so impressed with the dedication and hard work of our staff! Teams regularly collaborate and plan experiences that meet the needs of today’s learners, preparing them to be competent, confident and creative builders of the future! We are honored that you trust us daily with your children. We do not take lightly the privilege of working in partnership with you for three amazing years!

Please be on the lookout for communications in the form of newsletters, emails, and social media. My door is always open to you. Please reach out if you would like to meet (mclaughlinc@cvcolonials.org). I look forward to seeing you at CVIS and in the community!

Sincerely,

Mrs. Christina McLaughlin, CVIS Principal
